The Playground Battle
Action 2nd Time

By Sofian Mahmoud, May 2008

I have always predicted that these militant gangs in Lebanon can’t sit back and watch for long time without experiencing what they are great at, and that is War.
When the Militant Gang called Hezbollah kidnapped the two Israeli ‘golden’ soldiers, in 2006, the war broke out and Israel made the decision to destroy the Lebanon claiming they are after the military infrastructure of Hezbollah. I was watching the news everyday and see how arrogant both sides acting and how naive our Arabic nation is. People easily can be manipulated emotionally and drag through stupid media propaganda.

Day by day, people were watching the televised Hollywood style Israeli war on Lebanon and their anger and feeling of injustice drove them to support Hezbollah whether they are supporting them at the first place or never agreed with them.
The western media before the Arabic ones except Fox News and Sky News were totally shocked by the scale of the bombardment and air-strikes on Lebanon and although they tried hard to play the moderate role they couldn’t keep it cool while the entire world watching innocent people losing their lives in the name of God.

I would like to clarify one thing that I am not on any political party side, I am just dropping the spot light on the truth, or at least my logic mind telling me it is the truth plus the facts and circumstances surrounding the history of conflict in this spot of the Middle East.

The Opposition parties and specifically Hezbollah were always claiming that they will never give up their weapons until Israel get out from the last occupied Lebanese land in Shebaa farms. Also Hassan Nasrallah confirmed in many occasions that he would never ever use their army force against the Lebanese people no matter what are the circumestances.
The pro-government parties or what it is called 14 March Force lead by Al Mostaqbal Party also have their own weapons and special forces for their own protection, and running their business. It is no wonder that many members of the current government are involved in a large number of dodgy suspecious business and there is corruption amongst the head of the State and their families as well.
The pro-government parties are supported by the super power United States of America, Frnace and U

K and they allow these countries to interfer and help in the chaoes status in Lebanon.
Having say that; it is not acceptable that every time Iran and Syria want to break their political isolation to turn the table on the Lebanese people and order Hezbollah to move his gangs into the street and terrorise the people and create the chaoes status which leading to a biggest conflict in the region, which is already boiling on hell fire at the time being.

The Opposition Parties supported by Syria and Iran. Ironicly Syria keeps claiming she wants to get out of Lebanon and supporting its sovereignty and also will provide all the assist to build back all its establishments. It is also the same Syria that involved in hundreds of accusations of excuting a lot of the Lebanese leaders and journalists and icons as they were anti Syrian system and refusing the interfering in their country business. Syrian is refusing to accept the UN resolution 1701 and creating the buffer zone that protect Israel from Hezbollah Rockets.

The truth is that Hezbollah has always straddled two ideologies that actually kept them in check. On one side, (under Syrian supervision on the ground), they cooperated with a secular pro-Syrian strategy. The Syrian vision for the Middle East does NOT include an independent Palestinian state. According to Syria, the British and the French tore out Lebanon, Jordan and Israel from them, ideally, they want it back and an ambiguous status for Palestine actually works in their favour. On the other hand, Iranian ideology promises a restoration of religious-based governments in the region. Iran wanted to replicate the Islamic Revolution when it created "The Party of God" - (Hezbollah) when Israeli occupied Lebanon in 1978. This ideology is religious in nature and shuns the secular Syrian vision for the Middle East.

Iran wants a definable Islamic victory in Palestine against Israel. Ironically, many nations (including the European Union, don't consider Hezbollah a terrorist group.)When Syria was pushed out of Lebanon, they took their ideological influence with them.

Without Syrian "supervision", Iran's ideology won out (but immediately found competition for relevance with the Sunni Hamas government). A strange dynamic is at play here. If Iran is to promote a Shiite rebirth, both in Iraq, and by challenging the Saudi position; it has to put the Sunnis into an ideologically indefensible position.

Iran is very interested in discrediting the Sunni status quo as a viable ideological solution for the Middle East. Iran would like to show Saudi Arabia as a puppet for the West that ignores the Arabic Street. They would like to solidify their position with Iraqi Shiites and they want to show the region that Iran is a credible player in the affairs of the Palestinians.

Meanwhile after the July war Israel will move on Hezbollah very carefully, especially after the position the Lebanese Shiite party has gained through the entire Arab and Muslim nation. Hezbollah become the hero after surviving the heavy bombardment and air strikes during the 2006 war, so it is important for Israel to isolate the party from Syria and Iran and their military support before striking again.

Syria trying to avoid to declare openly any direct conflict with Israel in the time being and vice versa is Israel as she is also denying any open conflict with the Syria. Iran couldn’t be more clear expressing her main intention to wipe Israel from the map and once again to show the weakness of the Arab leaders for the Arabic street.
Islamic Republic of Iran gives the Lebanese Shiite Organisation more than 50 million Euro every year for its civil and military infrastructure, and declares they would defend the Syrian regime and Hezbollah financially and militarily.
It is obvious now that Israel and Iran in wide open regional cold war as a miniature image of the bigger picture of the Iran and America conflict.

Hezbollah refusing all the negotiation attempts and all the international community resolutions to end up all the millitary aspects in the lebanese streets and merge Hezbollah weapons and force with the Official Lebanese Army.
The problem is that there is alot of mercinaries groups and fighters spreading all over Lebanon prepare to work with any side who will pay to push the region to th edge. There is no doubt that the Mousad (The Israeli Intelligance Agency) and the C.I.A. (Central Intelligance Agency) are using these groups in the hidden war against Iran and Syria existance in Lebanon.
So this is another reason for Hezbollah not to accept handing over weapons and giving up what thay claim their resisitance against occupation.
The Shiite regime ambitions to become the super power in the region is unstoppable as they like any radicalist using God’s word and never ending conflict over Jursalem to implement this dream.
Iran (Shiite) that want to revenge for her sheded blood in Iraq-Iran war for 8 years where USA and its intellogants with the Arabic money supported Saddam regime.
Syria (Shiite) wants to draw the attention on the conflict between Hezbollah and hamas with Israel and hiding her weakness not capable to get back her occupied land of the Golan Heights.
Saudi Royal regime (Wahabes) & Egypt the biggest allies of the USA, determine to protect their existance as survived old regime in the region, by perish the Iranian biggest clear and present danger in the Middle East.
US & Israel won’t accept any other power in the region to posses nuclear weapons except Israel to protect her influence and power in the hottest and most strategic geograpgic point in the entire world.

Finally Lebanon has no interest rather than to survive and grow as any other nation. Since that small country start formed and building its own identity always faces one challenge which is being uniquly multi culture and tolerance society.

I have visited your blog. It's very good.
I tried to post a comment, but it returned error message, saying "URL contained illegal characters". What does this mean?

Anyway, my comment is as follows:
1) The regime in Syria is not shiite, it is alaweyeen. Alaweyoon have their secret system and they are worse than shiites with regards to straight religion.
2) The war on 2006 was not because of two israeli soldiers. Capturing israeli soldiers happened earlier several times. The famous incident was in 2004.
3) The new Nazi had several targets from the 2006 war. They used the two israeli POW only as a facade, same as they used the inside job of bombing two embassies and rocketing a military ship to make a devil, and as they used the inside-job of explosions in 2001 as an alibi to attack Iraq. They then used many other lies to attack Iraq.
4) The attack on Iraq on 2003 must have included some sort of arrangement with Turkie and Iran. This is simple military strategy. Both states are not naive to think that such arrangement would hold, once targets are achieved. The new Nazis are famous not only with their lies, but also with their breaching of any arrangement / deal at the first chance.
5) The war in 2006 has definitely not achieved its main target: the return of the myth about undefiable army, which was established in 1967 up-to 1973. By the way, the Egyptian army did not swallow that myth right from the beginning. The attacks on the israeli army in Sinai never seazed. The myth was severely hit in 1973.
6) When we talk about war, we should not go along with the new Nazis and talk about religion or factions of religions. The war in the middle east IS POLITICAL on both sides. It has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with any religion. The fact that Hezbollah is supported by shiites does not change this concept. The front of israeli army is manned mostly by Durz, who claim to be Moslems(!). The victims in Iraq and in Palestine are of different religions. The bombs are not intelligent enough to "choose" whome to kill. The 1973 war was launched by Egyptian army, which includes all citizens, not only Moslems.
7) I do not agree, neither in principle nor in details, with shiites faith. However, the fact is that Hezbollah was able to defeat the undefiable army. That is to go as credit, regardless of their beliefs. See the video of Hassan Nasrallah in which he announced the deal about exchanging POW, which took two years after 2006 war to be sealed. The video is on my channel MAALI65 in Metacafe site.
8) My opinion, expressed several times in Masrfina group, is to stop describing things as "Islamic". It is used against us. Meanwhile, it sort of justifies Israel to be the only aparthide system in the world now.
9) One of the targets of the 2006 war was to militarily finish off Hezbollah. That would have solved the arms problem on the northern border of Israel. When the war did not succeed in that too, the new Nazis were furious and tried every possible way to convince the world of the necessity of disarming.
10) The 2006 war proved to all Arabs the mistake, they always believed in, which is: 'One Arabic state cannot stand alone in a war with Israel.' Egypt proved it as well earlier in 1973. In fact Syria participation in the war was militarily a failure. A failure, which astonished even all west analysts, as I read their writings at the time.
Well, this is enough for now. Good night.

I don't think you get what i meant. I have never said the War is religion based or driven by religious groups. I was hinting there that all these groups using the name of religion for their purposes and manipulate the public opinion. I was clear when i mentioned in the previous article Political not Religious this point. I also referred to Syrian Regime not as Shittes i know they are Alwayeen and they have their different beliefs but i was talking their support to Iran and Hezbulah that's all.
